Been working since last July on a short piece on my time in San Francisco. It started simple but it's branching out as I start remembering everything that I felt while I was there.

Funny how Holly slips in all the time. I thought of her while I walked around Berkeley, trying to imagine her in that place that she lived the year before she died. It felt like visiting the place where your parents grew up, trying to understand what made them who they are. It felt like communion.
